Welcome to District 33’s website! We want to bring you information about Al-Anon, our Service Board, meetings in the East San Gabriel Valley, activities being planned, news, and updates.  Check it out and if you have suggestions for what you would like to see, please let us know by emailing us at dist33alanon@gmail.com.

We have an enthusiastic service board holding offices and group representative positions.  I am so excited to say we now have a Group Rep from every one of our meetings in Covina, Diamond Bar, Glendora, Monrovia, and West Covina. Your GR is your link between other meetings in our district and World Service.

On April 16, 2010, the District 33 4th Step Workshop will take place at Hope Lutheran in Glendora from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. You don't want to miss the opportunity to hear about the different ways to do a 4th step inventory, small group writing and discussion, and free admission and refreshments. We will also have table for teenagers to share what Alateen is all about and how they can get involved. Click on the link to download the workshop flyer.

Planning meetings for our District 33 Alathon are scheduled the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Alano Club and chaired by Emily M. Consider getting involved to help plan this event. Remember that all District 33 planning and service board meetings are open too all who would like to attend and participate. Please consider getting involved. Another way to get involved is to write an article for our quarterly newsletter about your experience in Al-Anon or an Al-Anon topic of your choice. All articles can be submitted to your local meeting Group Rep or any of our Service Board members.

I truly appreciate the opportunity to serve as your DR.  Al-Anon has changed and enriched my life and relationships. I would love to visit as many meetings as I can and am available to lead a meeting or be a speaker if you would like.

The "Forum" magazine is such an important lifeline for your program, please consider a $11 subscription. If you submit your order through your GR, our district will receive credit for your subscription.

Please feel free to join us at one of our monthly District 33 meetings held on the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church located at 200 N. Second Avenue in Covina next to the Covina Library. We really want to get more people involved in service and hope you can join us to see what we are all about. The more you learn about Al-Anon, the more you understand the world-wide importance of this awesome fellowship. There are currently 24,552 meetings in 130 countries!!!
